We didn't have time to discuss what we will do today, but there is not much time. One lesson will be your final test, and you will also need to hand in your listening portfolios soon.
Today, you will either start a new topic from the textbook, or another TED talks, or if you prefer, you could watch a movie and write a summary and reaction to it. If you bring a DVD which you think is suitable to watch and listen to in English, please do.

ReplyDeleteThis movie's characters were born as organ donor, so their purpose of life is to give their organs to people.In this movie, It is drawn about human relations that Kathy, Tomy and Ruth in their cruel situations. This movie's mood is monotonous, quiet and mysterious. Also, this plot is symple and we can read their situations that they conflict with their destiny and they accept their destiny. And, they go their destiny. This movie's ironis thing is people deal with them(Kathy, Tomy and Ruth) carelessly but their purpose is acting of kindness. This movie's theme is organ donation and clone people but there is more important theme "living".
Opinion
I felt sad and their real emotions from this movie.I have question about it that they didn't oppose their situation. Because they had many chances to run away their destiny but they didn't.My opinion about it , it is their strength to their life. To accept their destiny, they could live their life seriously.It is difficult theme and I can read many emotions.
Summary
ReplyDeleteCathy and Tommy and Ruth lived in domitory school.
Three people lived together since they were young .
They do not have a house to go home,and they were isolated with the outside.
Also,the reason why they were born is a clone for organ donation.Their mission is to
donate their organ, they were not able to defy it.
At the age of 18years old,they have begun to live in a cotage,and Ruth and Tommy fell in love,so Cathy gradually stood alone,and she left the cottage.
Few years ago,Cathy meets again who finished organ donation and Ruth told the place to stay of Tomy.
Tomy finished organ donation too,and he has already weakened,but they fell in love.
They believed a rumor that a postponement of the organ donation if they said that we are lovers.However, it was wrong.
Tomy died by the third organ donation.
News of the organ donation reached Cathy and she remained standing.
In my opinion,to make a clone for organ donation is unethical.
I was troubled what is difference between clone and human.
I felt very sorry for them who must live while knowing the fact of organ donation.
